As you're deciding which sessions to attend at this year's expo, here are two things to consider:
- What is your goal for the conference? What are you hoping to learn? ACTFL is a great time to attend sessions about topics and methods with which you are not already familiar! Read this post from Thomas Sauer for some good things to consider when planning your weekend.
- If you are looking to learn more about Comprehensible Input strategies and activities, check out this printable CI sessions sheet from TPRS Publishing.
- If you attend the 2-part, Friday morning session with Dr. Krashen and Carol Gaab, you will receive a voucher for a FREE book: Comprehension-Based Instruction: The Foundation, the Method, the Evidence (10:30am – 12:20pm Friday ~ Workshop room 3, Exhibit Hall)

As for me, I have yet to plan my conference path. I have some general ideas about goals, but I have a hard time looking through the digital program--I'll have to wait until I get the hard copy at registration to really hammer out my plans! I will be spending quite a bit of time in the TPRS Publishing booth to help teachers find novels that will work best for their level(s) and instructional purposes. I'll also be at Saturday afternoon's Tea with BVP in the Social Media Lounge at noon! Other than that...I'll be around! Look for the pregnant lady that looks like she is past her due date (10 weeks to go...but four kids in four years means that I might as well be pregnant with quadruplets).
