Guys! Almost 500 people took the pledge to uphold copyright law and to hold their colleagues to the same standard. 2 people pledged to break copyright, but I have a feeling that their responses were mis-clicks and not purposeful…especially since both are readers that I know through the SOMOS Curriculum Collaboration group and don’t appear to be defiant 😉 Had to withdraw their names from the running anyway, just to be safe! 500…even taking into consideration all of you stinkeroonies that tried making the pledge with like three or four different email addresses for the same person. Yes, I checked! I also enjoyed reading the notes that you embedded in your names, like “L.F., “The Most Honest Teacher EVER and who is HAPPY to pay for your super reasonably priced products and who is also NOT an A-hole.” Yes, I read them all! World language teachers are so fun; I am so happy to have you all in my life!
Okay, enough already! Who won??
Two fantastically honest teachers, named Travis and Lori! I used handy-dandy http://www.random.org to select two winners, and the winning numbers were entries 283 and 443. Travis and Lori will get to choose between a class set of novels or a TeachersPayTeachers gift certificate for $150.00. I have emailed them and given them to the end of the week to respond. If I don’t hear back, I will choose someone else from the ‘good kids’ list 🙂
Thank you to everyone that entered and promised to take copyright law seriously. I pray that you will get back the good that you are putting into the world, and I am confident that you will–even if it’s not by winning this drawing 😉
