UPDATE: As of Friday, November 19 we are no longer accepting applications for this position as process and interview applications that have already been received.
In 2021, we ran two month-long, hybrid courses designed to introduce teachers to Comprehension-based teaching. We will be running another ‘Acquisition Boot Camp’ (ABC) in January. One course feature are forums moderated on Teachable by coaches. For our January course, we will bring on at least one Coaching Intern who will work with one of our experienced coaches to learn how to support teachers with encouragement, critical questions, and redirection to useful resources.
This internship is a great opportunity for coaches that have already taken a Coaching for Coaches or Coaching from the Heart workshop to transfer their experience to a virtual format and for teachers with coaching and/or leadership experience in other contexts to learn what it looks like to support teachers in exploring the foundational ideas and strategies of Comprehension-based teaching. The internship would also open up the possibility for future coaching opportunities with The Comprehensible Classroom.
