This LOTERÍA game is unlike anything you will buy in a catalog! Instead of hearing isolated words, the teacher reads sentences to students as they search for pictorial representations of the sentence on their LOTERÍA boards. This is a great way to turn a traditional vocabulary game into an input-rich activity.
This game features the high-frequency verbs le dice and le dijo and pairs with Somos 1 Unit 1 or Somos 2 Unit 1. A vocabulary slide is included so that students can confidently interpret each sentence, even if some of the past tense constructions are new to them.
Sample sentences:
- La profesora le dice hola a su estudiante.
- El gato dice: «Miau, miau».
- El chico dijo: «Hola, señora Jones».
- La profesora dijo: «Este animal es un elefante».
40 LOTERÍA boards, 60 cards, and student keys are included for each set, and it includes resources to play either in a traditional classroom space, with printable boards, or virtually with digital boards.

I used it with my distance learning students and they enjoyed it. This resource is a great way to review the most commonly used vocabulary. The students get so competitive, that don't realize they are learning.

This was used with a sub as a way to review and my students were really happy to have a fun activity to work with their sub.

I adore sentence Bingo! It is so useful to sneak in CI when they think they are just listening carefully to maybe get some candy :)

Students found this very challenging, but it is do-able with a lot of modeling, acting, pointing, etc to make it comprehensible to the students. I used it with 7th and 8th graders between the Dice unit and Gusta resources from Martina Bex.

I love that this takes bingo and adds text to it! Students were playing in the first few weeks of school with very little Spanish knowledge! I wish I would have set aside more time to play, but definitely next year.
