La revolución tecnológica is a Spanish 4+ CI curriculum unit from the Huellas 2 curriculum sequence designed to build proficiency through critical thinking, global perspectives, and meaningful comprehensible input. In this 13‑day unit, students explore modern technology and the digital divide, examining how technology shapes daily life, access to information, communication, and opportunity around the world.
This proficiency‑based Spanish 4+ curriculum unit supports interpretive, interpersonal, and presentational communication as students analyze infographics, readings, and media related to social media, screen time, access to technology, and ethical concerns. Students are encouraged to reflect on the role technology plays in their own lives while comparing global access and impact. The unit provides a balanced approach to discussing the advantages and disadvantages of technology in a thoughtful, age‑appropriate way.

My students ALWAYS enjoy any of the lessons from the Huellas curriculum and Somewhere to Share! I use these units in Spanish 3 as a pre-pre-AP as well as Spanish 4 (Pre-AP) and Spanish 5 (AP). I use am AP text book in Spanish 4 and 5, but use these lessons as a close unit for each theme. They combine different contexts and use topics the kids always find interesting. Music, activities, etc - all loved by me and the students!
