Continuidad de los parques by Julio Cortázar

This resource pack features a series of six versions of Cortázar's literary masterpiece, Continuidad de los parques. The most simple version is easy for Novice Spanish students to understand, and each version increases in vocabulary, detail, and structural complexity. The authentic story is also included.

Each level of the reading is provided in three formats: a worksheet version (that includes a unique task), a text-only version, and a projectable slideshow version.

A brief overview of the story is included (in Spanish).

The six simplified versions do not include the twist at the end of the story; the most iconic moment. They cut off when the lover enters the study. In case students do not read the authentic version of the story, an 'ending worksheet' is also included, which is written entirely in Spanish and presents the last sentence of the story to students along with scaffolding to help them understand it.

24 cards with simple icon images representing scenes from the story are also included.

Comprehension questions and personalized questions for discussion are NOT included.

The resource pack instructions list 10 suggested uses for the materials, although truly they can be used in an infinite number of ways to support your students' comprehension of and appreciation for this intriguing story.
