El zoológico loco creative writing project

Creative writing project for Spanish classes to use the imperfect tense

Intermediate (Levels 2-4), Novice (Levels 1-2)

This is a project for students to demonstrate their mastery of the imperfect tense. Students design and describe a mythical, extinct creature based on the criteria outlined in the project guidelines. A suggested grading rubric (for standards-based grading) is included, but it is editable so that you can change the requirements to meet your class's structure. The instructions are primarily in English, so it could be easily re-formatted to use in other language classrooms.

PDF and editable Word versions of the document are included.

Our CRIATURAS LOCAS product features 10 worksheets, each with a different Crazy Creature description in Spanish, written in the Imperfect tense!

  • A fun way to get some imperfect tense practice in, and student created stories can be shared with all levels as more reading practice.
