SOMOS 2 UNIT 5: "RUIDOS EN LA NOCHE"

This is my FAVORITE story to do with my students!!! They get so much exposure to i-y preterit, and they have so much fun!

This was one of my favorite stories in Spanish 2 and the kids loved it. They still walk in the room singing the first line of "Oye" everyday and, as always, I love the fact that i-->y verbs are not even hard because they've used them in context. I didn't focus on the verb concluir with the acertijos but they had a great time trying to figure them out.

SOMOS is by far the best Spanish curriculum. My 3rd year Spanish students are still engaged and thoroughly enjoying all part of learning Spanish.

I've been hearing great things about SOMOS and needed a new resource to teach the preterite. This unit did not disapoint! I am asking my district to purchase the entire Unit 2 for my Spansh 2/3 classes next year!

I like the variety of the unit. There´s a story to ask (I haven´t mastered this ability yet, so I prepare slides and tell the story), a song that goes well with the structures that are being practiced, and tons of fun activities. Everything very clear and comprehensible.
