Here's what's included:
First, a Week at a Glance slide!
Meghan's district switched to a four-day school day this year (she'll report on how that goes!), so both four-day and five-day weekly agenda slides are available. If you're using Vamos, Somos, or Nous sommes, these are super easy to fill in by referencing your bullet planner or the unit at a glance in your Lesson Plans document.
Remember, though, that one of our Core Mindsets is "Connection over Curriculum." Just because you post it doesn't mean it has to happen that way. As you move through your week with your students, give your plans permission to change as you spend more time on some activities, less time on others, and lean into spontaneous communication that comes up in the course of living in the real world with your students.
Next, a daily agenda slide:
On this slide, you can post the Learning Objective, Materials, and a bullet list of the anticipated plans for the day (remember, they should always be subject to change!). Again, it's easy to do these things if you're using our curriculum because we list all of these items for each day for you: Materials Needed, Learning Objectives, and Suggested Plans!
We also included a fully editable version of the daily agenda slide so that you can change the three placeholder text boxes to be anything that you need them to be.
Options for End of Class routine!
How do you plan to end your class each day this year? Some teachers prefer to end class with a quick up/down listening quiz or Exit Ticket each day. Others tell students a new Password for the next day's class or review the Password they are using for the full week (credit: Alina Filipescu). You may be required to review the day's learning objective, or perhaps you close with our favorite dismissal routine ritual from Bryce Hedstrom (see below). You'll be able to use our End of Class slide template for any of those purposes.
