It is so hard to find a curriculum for upper level students that not only gives them scaffolding to help build their productive language skills but also, wraps those lessons in topics that really interest them. Created with inspiration from the AP themes, the Sustainable Development Goals, and ACTFL's Proficiency Levels, this curriculum may be just what you need to maximize the time you spend with your students and minimize your planning.
These are the first 10 units (of 15) of the Huellas 2 curriculum. Huellas 2 is a 34 week bundle that can be used in conjunction with your current curriculum in Spanish 3+ or as a stand alone. The 1-10 bundle of the Huellas 2 curriculum allows teachers a great deal of flexibility with timing, grammatical focus, extending vocabulary, and includes both remote and face to face plans. In these units, teachers will find vocabulary, grammar, music, movie talks, and cultural studies, we hope that our lessons meet the needs of your upper level students! I teach level 3 Spanish and Huellas is supporting me as I move towards more applied language skills instead of heavy grammar and vocab focus. Huellas is also providing me with themes that support my students who are going on to study AP Spanish.

These resources are perfect for my Spanish 4s. They are just what was needed, especially during this pandemic. I can teach from the in-person lessons while we're at school while knowing that if we need to switch to hybrid/virtual that I'll be able to continue using the same resources and materials.
