WHAT'S INCLUDED
⭐ Hispanic Heritage Month readings and activities
Help students understand what Hispanic Heritage Month is, why it begins on September 15, and why we celebrate it in the United States.
⭐ Biographies of notable Hispanic and Latino individuals
Introduce students to people from a variety of backgrounds, professions, countries, and time periods while keeping them reading and learning in Spanish.
⭐ School-Wide Hispanic Heritage Month Biography Bingo
Take Hispanic Heritage Month beyond your classroom! It's a fun way to build awareness of Hispanic Heritage Month AND generate interest in your Spanish program.
⭐ Spanish-speaking world geography activities
Help students build geographical awareness and make connections between the people and places they encounter throughout the month.
⭐ Mexican Independence / El Grito de Dolores resources
September 16 falls right at the beginning of Hispanic Heritage Month, making this an ideal opportunity to explore Mexican Independence and the history of El Grito de Dolores.
⭐ El Juramento a la bandera
Add another cultural and linguistic connection to your Hispanic Heritage Month plans.
⭐ Hispanic Heritage Month review game
Wrap up your learning with an engaging game that lets students revisit people, places, history, and cultural information from the month.
USE IT YOUR WAY
You do not need to stop everything you're teaching and spend four weeks on Hispanic Heritage Month.
Choose the resources that work for your students and your schedule!
Use one activity for a quick introduction. Build a short Hispanic Heritage Month mini-unit. Highlight one person at a time throughout the month. Incorporate Mexican Independence Day into your plans. Set up Biography Bingo as a school-wide celebration. Or use the resources throughout the year as they connect naturally to your curriculum.
There is a LOT here, so you can come back to this bundle year after year and use it differently with different classes and levels.
WHY TEACHERS LOVE THIS BUNDLE

❤️ More than famous-person trivia: Resources help students make connections among people, geography, history, language, and culture.
❤️ Easy to incorporate: Use individual activities without restructuring your entire curriculum.
❤️ Great for multiple levels: Select and adapt resources for the classes you teach.
❤️ Useful beyond September: Many of the biographies, geography resources, and cultural activities can be incorporated into your curriculum throughout the school year.
MAKE HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH VISIBLE BEYOND YOUR CLASSROOM
Hispanic Heritage Month is a great opportunity not only to engage the students who are already enrolled in Spanish, but also to build awareness of Spanish-speaking people and communities throughout your school.
Use the biographies and Bingo activity in hallways, common spaces, or other classrooms. Invite colleagues to participate. Turn Hispanic Heritage Month into something students notice, talk about, and learn from as they move through the school.
Most importantly, use these resources as a starting point—not an endpoint. Hispanic and Latino people, perspectives, products, and practices belong in our Spanish classes all year long. Hispanic Heritage Month simply gives us a special opportunity to bring that learning into focus and share it with the wider school community.
Add this bundle to your Hispanic Heritage Month plans and choose the activities that work best for YOUR students, YOUR schedule, and YOUR classroom.
This bundle includes everything that you need to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month in a meaningful way with your students and your entire school!

I made this a schoolwide activity during Hispanic Heritage Month. Everyone loved seeing the easy to understand biographies all around the school! It created a fun and focused activity for the entire school.

Awesome bundle! We did a successful super fun all school bingo scavenger hunt! We were able to get a local restaurant to donate some gift cards for the prizes. I didn't think they'd want to do it again two years in a row, but they were requesting that we do it again! Great bunch of resources to choose from. Thank you!

I used this resource to create a Hispanic "hallway" of fame. I printed and displayed the cards and the students were given bingo cards to fill out with the name of the person as they walked down the hallway and looked through the cards.

This is a great resource! I love using it with Level 1's -- they cannot believe they can read and answer the questions so well after having been in class only 3 weeks! Thank you!

Lots of great information in this bundle. I love that there are digital activities included as well. I also really appreciate the different activities that this bundle offers-not just all readings or all games, but a multitude of different options! Well done!
